Model Code of Conduct period ਆਦਰਸ਼ ਚੋਣ ਜ਼ਾਬਤਾ
The Model Code of Conduct (MCC) of the Election Commission of India applies from the announcement of the election schedule until the results are declared. During this time the Election Cell runs voter awareness, expenditure monitoring teams, postal ballot facilitation and training of polling staff.
ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਨਤੀਜਿਆਂ ਤੱਕ ਆਦਰਸ਼ ਚੋਣ ਜ਼ਾਬਤਾ ਲਾਗੂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਚੋਣ ਸੈੱਲ ਵੋਟਰ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ, ਖ਼ਰਚਾ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਟੀਮਾਂ, ਡਾਕ ਵੋਟ ਅਤੇ ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਦੀ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

SWEEP activities ਸਵੀਪ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ
SWEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation) is ECI's voter education programme: rallies, pledges, rangoli, nukkad natak, school and college campaigns, and drives to register new and young voters.

FST – Flying Squad Team
ਫਲਾਇੰਗ ਸਕੁਐਡ ਟੀਮ
Mobile team led by a magistrate with police and a videographer. Acts on complaints of cash, liquor or gifts being distributed to influence voters, and watches for MCC violations.
SST – Static Surveillance Team
ਸਟੈਟਿਕ ਸਰਵੇਲੈਂਸ ਟੀਮ
Team at check-posts that checks vehicles for movement of unaccounted cash, liquor, arms or other items meant for voters. Checking is video-recorded.
VST – Video Surveillance Team
ਵੀਡੀਓ ਸਰਵੇਲੈਂਸ ਟੀਮ
Video-records rallies, public meetings and other campaign events so that expenditure by candidates can be assessed.
VVT – Video Viewing Team
ਵੀਡੀਓ ਵਿਊਇੰਗ ਟੀਮ
Watches the VST recordings, notes items of campaign expenditure seen (stage, vehicles, banners etc.) and reports them for the candidate's shadow expenditure register.

Postal Ballot ਡਾਕ ਵੋਟ
Postal ballots are available to eligible electors such as staff on election duty, service voters and other categories notified by the ECI (for example senior citizens above the notified age and persons with disabilities, who may also be offered home voting). Applications are made in the prescribed Form (Form 12 / 12D, as notified) within the period set by the ECI.

Poll-day rehearsal & staff training ਪੋਲਿੰਗ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਰਸਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ
Polling parties are trained in rounds before poll day: hands-on EVM and VVPAT practice, mock poll, filling of statutory forms and the Presiding Officer's diary, and the final rehearsal before dispatch.
